How we collect and present reviews.
Every review on carbatteryokc.com was written by a customer whose battery we actually replaced. Here's exactly how a review gets written, what it shows, how it's checked, and how the stars are counted.
Where reviews come from
Only a customer whose job we finished can write a review — signed in with the email on their booking, with Google or an emailed link. A cancelled booking, a no-show, a job that wasn't finished or a warranty visit can't be reviewed. One review per job.
After a job we may email you a review request with a link to your job. It's an invitation, not a condition of anything: nothing about your booking, your warranty or your price changes whether you write one or not.
Nobody is paid for a review or a rating. We never ask for a certain number of stars, never offer anything for one, and never ask anyone to change or take down a review.
What a review shows
Your stars and your words, with the name you pick — your first name and last initial, or just "Verified customer" — and your job's vehicle, city, date, how long it took, and the real before and after photos of the battery we replaced. Never your phone, email or address.
You can edit your review any time by signing in on the reviews page. An edited review is checked again before the new version is shown.
Every review is marked Verified job because every one of them is — there's no way to leave one without a finished job. We don't import reviews from other websites, and we don't show reviews here that weren't written here. If we quote a review anywhere else, in a post or an ad, it's a real one from our reviews page, as written.
How a review is checked before it's shown
A new review is held for a short while so an automated check (an AI service) can read it against our content rules. It looks only at what the review contains: swearing, harassment or threats, hateful remarks, sexual content, personal information (a phone number, email, street address, license plate or a private person's full name), spam, links or ads, something that has nothing to do with our service, or something clearly false or about a different business.
It never judges by opinion. A one-star review, an angry review or a complaint about the price, the wait, the technician or the battery goes up exactly like a five-star one if it breaks none of those rules. Federal law (the FTC's rule on consumer reviews) forbids hiding a review for being negative, and so do we.
If a review is held, we email you what to change — take out the phone number, for example — and it's checked again when you edit it. We can also look at any review ourselves and publish or hide it, for the same content reasons only; every decision is recorded with its reason.
How reviews are shown
Newest first. The star average and the count next to it include every live review, and the bars show how many of each star we've received. Nothing is filtered, sorted or weighted by rating.
A reply marked "Car Battery OKC replied" was written by us. We reply to make things right or to say thanks — never to argue, and never with an offer to change the review.
The photos on a review are the real before and after pictures taken at your job. We take a photo down only if it shows something it shouldn't, like a readable license plate or a person who didn't ask to be in it.
The $10 share credit
Once your review is live, you can share the comic-book picture of your job — it shows your vehicle, city, the job's times and the before and after photos, never your name. Posting it earns a $10 credit toward a battery service, which never expires and can be gifted to a friend.
The credit is for sharing the picture, not for the review. It's the same $10 at one star or five, it isn't offered for writing a review in the first place, and it's never offered for changing or taking down one.
Changing or removing your review
To change your review, sign in on the reviews page and edit it. To have it taken down, call (405) 454-8728 and we'll remove it.
